The statutory initiative collected <strong>96,918 valid signatures<\/strong> and cleared the required threshold in <strong>55 counties<\/strong>. The election process is administered by Secretary of State <strong>Robert \u201cBob\u201d Evnen<\/strong>, while <strong>Jim Pillen<\/strong> remains the state\u2019s governor. If approved, the <strong>Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission<\/strong>, chaired by <strong>Dennis P. Lee<\/strong>, would be responsible for building the regulatory framework.
