New information has emerged claiming that the ALPHV\/BlackCat ransomware group is responsible for Monday's debilitating cyberattack on MGM Resorts International.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>With rumors about a large ransom payment, some experts say the Las Vegas-based company may not even have been able to pay its employees on Friday.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

According to a Tuesday night post from malware repository vx-underground, the ransomware gang was able to breach the entertainment and hospitality giant through a social engineering attack.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
