Viswanathan<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The challenges were filed by <strong>Head Digital Works Private Limited<\/strong>, operator of A23; <strong>Bagheera Carrom (OPC) Private Limited<\/strong>; and <strong>Clubboom11 Sports and Entertainment Private Limited<\/strong>, which is linked to the Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports. The cases, initially brought before the Karnataka, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh High Courts, were consolidated by the Supreme Court to prevent conflicting decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"727\" height=\"484\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/indias-supreme-court-could-reopen-the-door-to-real-money-gaming3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17950\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/indias-supreme-court-could-reopen-the-door-to-real-money-gaming3.png 727w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/indias-supreme-court-could-reopen-the-door-to-real-money-gaming3-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 727px) 100vw, 727px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A bench comprising Justices <strong>J.B. Pardiwala<\/strong> and <strong>K.V. Viswanathan<\/strong> ordered the transfer of the proceedings. The Union government is represented by Solicitor General <strong>Tushar Mehta<\/strong>, while senior advocate <strong>C. Aryama Sundaram<\/strong> appeared for Head Digital Works. Aryama Sundaram<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The claimants allege violations of Articles <strong>14, 19(1)(g) and 21<\/strong> of the Constitution, as well as federal intrusion into state powers over betting and gambling. Dream11 said it lost approximately <strong>95% of its revenue<\/strong>. Enforcement falls under <strong>MeitY<\/strong>, led by <strong>Ashwini Vaishnaw<\/strong>, with <strong>Jitin Prasada<\/strong> serving as Minister of State.
