Of the total contribution, <strong>HK$29.313 billion<\/strong> came from betting duties and profits tax, <strong>HK$1.406 billion<\/strong> went to the Lotteries Fund, and <strong>HK$8.581 billion<\/strong> represented donations approved by the <strong>Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust<\/strong> for 191 projects and organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"742\" height=\"425\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/hkjc-contributes-record-us5-billion-to-hong-kong2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18479\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.7477744807121662;width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/hkjc-contributes-record-us5-billion-to-hong-kong2.png 742w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/hkjc-contributes-record-us5-billion-to-hong-kong2-300x172.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 742px) 100vw, 742px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HKJC therefore contributed <strong>HK$30.719 billion directly to the Government<\/strong>, while its tax payments represented approximately <strong>6.4% of all taxes collected by the Inland Revenue Department<\/strong> during the fiscal year. Horse-racing turnover reached <strong>HK$143.378 billion<\/strong>, up 3.6%, generating <strong>HK$19.9 billion in gaming revenue<\/strong>. International commingling reached <strong>HK$34.3 billion<\/strong>, up 9%, and accounted for 23.9% of racing wagering, with customers from 26 jurisdictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"733\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/hkjc-contributes-record-us5-billion-to-hong-kong3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18480\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/hkjc-contributes-record-us5-billion-to-hong-kong3.png 733w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/hkjc-contributes-record-us5-billion-to-hong-kong3-300x196.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 733px) 100vw, 733px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Football betting increased 3.6% to <strong>HK$178.998 billion<\/strong>, producing HK$22.6 billion in revenue, while Mark Six rose 4.2% to <strong>HK$9.372 billion<\/strong>. The Club also paid <strong>HK$2.4 billion<\/strong> under the Special Football Betting Duty. Following the September 2 meeting, <strong>Martin Liao Cheung-kong<\/strong> was re-elected Chairman and <strong>Lester G. Huang<\/strong> Deputy Chairman.
