The DGGI, headed by <strong>S. On <strong>September 2, 2026<\/strong>, the Mumbai Zonal Office searched <strong>12 locations<\/strong>; five in Maharashtra, four in Delhi-NCR, two in Rajasthan and one in Gujarat, under the <strong>Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"733\" height=\"441\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/india-traces-us7-4-billion-and-tightens-gambling-payments4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18533\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/india-traces-us7-4-billion-and-tightens-gambling-payments4.png 733w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/india-traces-us7-4-billion-and-tightens-gambling-payments4-300x180.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 733px) 100vw, 733px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Ashwini Vaishnaw<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ED, headed by <strong>Rahul Navin<\/strong>, is investigating a scheme that allegedly moved more than <strong>INR30 billion (Rs3,000 crore, around US$317.7 million) in one year<\/strong>, using mule accounts, payment gateways, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, cash-management agents, Banking Correspondents, Grahak Seva Kendras, UPI and alleged hawala channels. The agency had already searched <strong>17 locations on May 26, 2026<\/strong>, seizing approximately <strong>Rs1.56 crore<\/strong>, including Rs1.2 crore in cash, and freezing another <strong>Rs3.8 crore<\/strong>.
