An investigation by the CCAC found that the suspect had the power to &ldquo;hire, fire and promote employees&rdquo;, which allowed him to abuse his authority in the workplace.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">He was also found to have repeatedly demanded &ldquo;respect&rdquo; from his subordinates by &ldquo;soliciting fees from several subordinates&rdquo; every month between September 2020 and February 2023. The money he received was said to have been used as kickbacks for job recommendations and contract renewals, totaling around MOP240,000 (US$29,859).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The CCAC urges the public to uphold integrity and abide by the law and not to challenge the law for illicit gains.
