The implementing <strong>Decree No. 2026-60<\/strong> was signed on <strong>4 February 2026<\/strong>, published in the Official Journal on <strong>6 February<\/strong>, and <strong>entered into force on 7 February 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/mve-ads\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"575\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/mundo-video-ads-to-attend-g2e-las-vegas-2025-to-strengthen-partnerships-and-boost-brand-visibility-in-the-gaming-industry3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14037\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/mundo-video-ads-to-attend-g2e-las-vegas-2025-to-strengthen-partnerships-and-boost-brand-visibility-in-the-gaming-industry3.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/mundo-video-ads-to-attend-g2e-las-vegas-2025-to-strengthen-partnerships-and-boost-brand-visibility-in-the-gaming-industry3-300x173.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/mundo-video-ads-to-attend-g2e-las-vegas-2025-to-strengthen-partnerships-and-boost-brand-visibility-in-the-gaming-industry3-768x442.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">JONUM stems from the <strong>SREN Law (Law No. 2024-449)<\/strong>, promulgated on <strong>21 May 2024<\/strong>, which authorises a <strong>three-year experimental regime<\/strong> for online games where <strong>adult players<\/strong> who make a paid commitment can obtain <strong>monetisable digital objects<\/strong> via a chance-based mechanism\u2014while <strong>excluding any monetary gain<\/strong>. The law also bars those digital objects from being sold back (directly or indirectly) to the issuing game company or related parties, aiming to prevent \u201ccash-out\u201d loops that resemble gambling payouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/02\/france-activates-jonum-rules-for-monetisable-digital-object-games2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15152\" 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decree specifies which game formats qualify, including <strong>action\/combat<\/strong>, <strong>breeding\/evolution<\/strong>, <strong>fantasy sports or horse-racing<\/strong>, <strong>adventure\/quest<\/strong>, <strong>management\/construction<\/strong>, and <strong>racing<\/strong>\u2014and it explicitly prohibits casino-style mechanics (with a narrow exception for fantasy horse racing as defined in the text).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the economics side, \u201cancillary rewards\u201d are tightly capped: <strong>in-kind rewards<\/strong> are limited to <strong>\u20ac1,000 per player per year per game<\/strong>, while <strong>crypto-asset rewards<\/strong> distributed to all participants in a game are capped at <strong>20% of that game\u2019s annual revenue<\/strong>, plus a <strong>\u20ac25,000 per-player annual ceiling<\/strong> for that game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
