Obradovi\u0107 and Rondovi\u0107 argue that the restriction would gradually reduce exposure to gambling and protect young people and local communities. In its assessment, it would provide a permanent advantage to companies controlling the most profitable locations and undermine equal competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"737\" height=\"441\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/montenegro-pushes-back-against-80-metre-betting-shop-rule4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17844\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/montenegro-pushes-back-against-80-metre-betting-shop-rule4.png 737w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/montenegro-pushes-back-against-80-metre-betting-shop-rule4-300x180.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 737px) 100vw, 737px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Milojko Spaji\u0107<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government of <strong>Milojko Spaji\u0107<\/strong> adopted that position on <strong>July 23, 2026<\/strong>, although it does not bind lawmakers. Montenegro has a unicameral Parliament, chaired by <strong>Andrija Mandi\u0107<\/strong>; no senators are involved. The amendment remains pending before Parliament. The underlying legislation is the <strong>Games of Chance Act<\/strong>, published in <em>Official Gazette No. 91\/2025<\/em> and effective since <strong>August 14, 2025<\/strong>. It currently requires gambling venues to remain at least <strong>150 metres from educational institutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/mve-ads\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/ADS-MVE.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16352\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/ADS-MVE.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/ADS-MVE-300x250.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Games of Chance Administration<\/strong>, led since March by <strong>Spasoje Papi\u0107<\/strong>, oversees the market, while <strong>Nata\u0161a Mijatovi\u0107<\/strong> heads its operational gambling division. Since August 2025, inspectors have seized <strong>40 illegal machines and terminals<\/strong> across seven municipalities. Gambling-related public revenue reached <strong>\u20ac24.57 million<\/strong> between January and June 2026, up <strong>35.90% year-on-year<\/strong>.
