The European review does not constitute final approval. Applicants would need at least <strong>\u20ac10 million in paid-up share capital<\/strong>. The application fee would be <strong>\u20ac70,000<\/strong>, the first licence would cost <strong>\u20ac300,000<\/strong>, and each renewal would carry a <strong>\u20ac600,000<\/strong> fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operators previously active without Austrian authorisation could apply if they pay outstanding gambling taxes, comply with final court judgments, disclose beneficial owners and withdraw from the illegal market. It would also establish a central self-exclusion register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/mve-ads\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/ADS-MVE.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16352\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/ADS-MVE.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/ADS-MVE-300x250.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For gaming machines, the proposal sets a maximum <strong>\u20ac5 stake<\/strong>, prizes of up to <strong>\u20ac10,000<\/strong>, mandatory RTP between <strong>85% and 95%<\/strong>, a compulsory break after 90 minutes and a ceiling of <strong>50 machines per venue<\/strong>. Supervision would initially fall to <strong>Finanzamt \u00d6sterreich<\/strong>, with fines of up to <strong>\u20ac1 million<\/strong> and coercive penalties of <strong>\u20ac30,000 per day<\/strong>.
