Gambling expenditure in the Basque Country reached <strong>\u20ac487 million in 2024<\/strong>, compared with \u20ac437 million in 2019, <strong>up 11.5%<\/strong>, according to industry data cited by CEJUEGO. Land-based gambling increased from <strong>\u20ac225 million to \u20ac282 million<\/strong>, <strong>up 25.3%<\/strong>, driven by gaming halls, casinos, bingo, betting and gaming machines. Online gambling added around <strong>\u20ac55 million<\/strong>, while state lotteries fell from <strong>\u20ac186 million in 2019 to \u20ac123 million in 2024<\/strong>. In 2023, they generated around <strong>\u20ac32.3 million<\/strong>, compared with \u20ac3.5 million from bingo. The casinos are <strong>Luckia Casino Bilbao<\/strong>, at Plaza Campuzano, and <strong>Casino Kursaal<\/strong>, in San Sebasti\u00e1n, both commercially linked to Luckia.
