Land-based casinos contributed <strong>\u20ac361.5 million<\/strong>, while the online business generated <strong>\u20ac29.7 million<\/strong>, down from \u20ac30.8 million in H1 2025. Holland Casino paid <strong>\u20ac138.2 million in gambling tax during H1 2026<\/strong>, compared with <strong>\u20ac124.4 million<\/strong> a year earlier, an increase of <strong>\u20ac13.8 million<\/strong>, or approximately 11.1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"737\" height=\"415\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/37-8-tax-pushes-holland-casino-to-loss3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18486\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.7740963855421688;width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/37-8-tax-pushes-holland-casino-to-loss3.png 737w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/37-8-tax-pushes-holland-casino-to-loss3-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 737px) 100vw, 737px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tax rate had already increased from <strong>30.5% to 34.2% on January 1, 2025<\/strong>, before the latest rise to 37.8%. Holland Casino, which operates <strong>13 land-based casinos<\/strong>, also reduced its pandemic-era tax debt from <strong>\u20ac147.2 million to \u20ac112.5 million<\/strong> during the half-year period.
