In the previous tender, an urban package grouped Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Graz, Innsbruck and Bregenz, while a rural package included Baden, Kitzb\u00fchel, Kleinwalsertal, Seefeld, Velden and Zell am See. The <strong>Austrian Court of Audit<\/strong> criticized that structure in 2016, arguing that the allocation had not been sufficiently justified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/mve-ads\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/ADS-MVE.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16352\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/ADS-MVE.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/ADS-MVE-300x250.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reform would also allow a <strong>13th license<\/strong>, with <strong>Vienna or Burgenland<\/strong> among the locations under consideration. It is also being considered whether to reduce the minimum capital requirement for casino operators from <strong>\u20ac22 million to \u20ac10 million<\/strong>, although that change is not yet in force. As of September 2026, the Ministry of Finance is headed by <strong>Markus Marterbauer<\/strong>, alongside State Secretary <strong>Barbara Eibinger-Miedl<\/strong>.
