It amends Royal Decree 1614\/2011 and Royal Decree 176\/2023. The DGOJ is headed by <strong>Mikel Arana Echezarreta<\/strong> and operates under the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda, led by <strong>Pablo Bustinduy Amador<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"367\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/spain-starts-testing-centralized-online-deposit-limits2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18918\" style=\"aspect-ratio:2.7268518518518516\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/spain-starts-testing-centralized-online-deposit-limits2.png 1000w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/spain-starts-testing-centralized-online-deposit-limits2-300x110.png 300w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/09\/spain-starts-testing-centralized-online-deposit-limits2-768x282.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new framework establishes combined deposit caps of <strong>\u20ac700 per day, \u20ac1,750 per week and \u20ac3,300 every four weeks<\/strong>, regardless of how many sportsbooks or online casinos a player uses. The regulatory day will run from <strong>06:00 to 06:00<\/strong>, while the weekly cycle will begin every Tuesday at 06:00. Before accepting a deposit, each operator will have to query the DGOJ electronically. The central system will aggregate the player\u2019s previous deposits and <strong>approve or reject the transaction in real time<\/strong>. Requests to raise or remove them will become effective only after <strong>three business days<\/strong>, while certain subsequent increases will also be subject to a <strong>three-month interval<\/strong>.
