Winnings of up to <strong>\u20ac100 per gaming session remain tax-exempt<\/strong>; for winnings between \u20ac100.01 and \u20ac500, the rate increased from <strong>15% to 20%<\/strong>; and for winnings exceeding \u20ac500, it rose from <strong>20% to 30%<\/strong>. The tax is calculated on taxable winnings after deducting the first \u20ac100, not on deposits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"727\" height=\"451\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/11\/image-58.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19811\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.6092896174863387;width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/11\/image-58.png 727w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/11\/image-58-300x186.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 727px) 100vw, 727px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Thanos Petralias<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minister of National Economy and Finance <strong>Kyriakos Pierrakakis<\/strong> and Deputy Minister <strong>Thanos Petralias<\/strong> announced the measure on <strong>March 23<\/strong>, estimating an additional \u20ac50 million in 2026 and \u20ac100 million in 2027. Online operators remain separately subject to a <strong>35% tax on gross gaming revenue (GGR)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Hellenic Gaming Commission (EEEP)<\/strong>, chaired by <strong>Antonios Vartholomaios<\/strong> since August 2025, reported that taxes withheld on winnings reached <strong>\u20ac369.4 million (+27.3%)<\/strong> between January and August, compared with \u20ac290.2 million in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"807\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/11\/image-59.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19812\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.6136986301369862;width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/11\/image-59.png 807w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/11\/image-59-300x186.png 300w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/11\/image-59-767x475.png 767w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 807px) 100vw, 807px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Antonios Vartholomaios<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Industry GGR increased <strong>4.2% to \u20ac2.06 billion<\/strong>, while the state&#8217;s share of operator revenue rose <strong>7.9% to \u20ac484.5 million<\/strong>. Pierrakakis reported investigations involving <strong>18 influencers<\/strong> over alleged promotion of illegal gambling.
