The implementation of these measures follows mandatory identification for land-based token games, which was introduced in spring 2023 and which also resulted in a 21% decline in sales of those games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/assets\/international\/scratch-card-sales-drop-44-in-finland-following-implementation-of-mandatory-id2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While these regulations have reduced gambling margins, they are part of a broader effort by the Finnish government and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/europa\/finland-does-not-want-money-to-continue-escaping-and-relaxes-with-veilkauss-oy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Veikkaus<\/a> to more strictly regulate the gambling sector and mitigate the risks associated with it.
