Unlike a pension scheme, the Employees\u2019 Fund is financed primarily through tips and other gaming-related income generated inside casino properties, providing an additional source of earnings for thousands of employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/buenos-aires-casino-workers-fund-falls-to-25-year-low2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17878\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/buenos-aires-casino-workers-fund-falls-to-25-year-low2.png 600w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/buenos-aires-casino-workers-fund-falls-to-25-year-low2-300x180.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the union, the deterioration results from several converging factors, including the sharp decline in cash transactions, the widespread adoption of electronic payments and digital wallets, technological changes across casino floors and the growing expansion of regulated online gambling, which the association believes has diverted part of customer spending away from traditional venues.
