Angol is headed by Mayor <strong>Enrique Neira Neira<\/strong>, while the municipal headquarters is located at <strong>Caupolic\u00e1n 509<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"718\" height=\"436\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/angol-shuts-down-unlicensed-slot-venues-as-14-businesses-come-under-pressure3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18393\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.6470588235294117;width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/angol-shuts-down-unlicensed-slot-venues-as-14-businesses-come-under-pressure3.png 718w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/angol-shuts-down-unlicensed-slot-venues-as-14-businesses-come-under-pressure3-300x182.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 718px) 100vw, 718px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The issue may extend beyond a commercial licensing violation. If the machines are technically classified as <strong>games of chance<\/strong>, a municipal licence would still not be enough to legalize them. In Chile, gambling operations are prohibited unless expressly authorized by law. The <strong>Superintendence of Casinos (SCJ)<\/strong>, headed in August by <strong>Eduardo C\u00e1ceres Guzm\u00e1n as Acting Superintendent<\/strong>, regulates licensed casinos under <strong>Law No. 19,995<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"735\" height=\"496\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/angol-shuts-down-unlicensed-slot-venues-as-14-businesses-come-under-pressure4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18394\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.4811083123425692;width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/angol-shuts-down-unlicensed-slot-venues-as-14-businesses-come-under-pressure4.png 735w, https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/08\/angol-shuts-down-unlicensed-slot-venues-as-14-businesses-come-under-pressure4-300x202.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 735px) 100vw, 735px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Chilean Penal Code<\/strong>, under Articles <strong>277 to 279<\/strong>, provides sanctions for those who operate illegal gambling houses and allows the seizure of money and equipment used in such activities.
