Finance authorities found that <strong>all 10 casinos failed to issue electronic receipts for the purchase of gaming chips<\/strong>. Inspectors also identified establishments that had not reported all <strong>gaming tables and slot machines<\/strong> in operation, as well as businesses that declared zero profits for corporate income tax purposes or zero <strong>Value Added Tax (VAT)<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"589\" height=\"381\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/fcaead0a-79b1-4d16-910c-b8ab70a20369\"> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Rodrigo Chaves Robles<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputy Minister of Revenue <strong>V\u00edctor Julio Carvajal Porras<\/strong> confirmed that administrative proceedings have already begun to determine unpaid taxes, impose sanctions and recover outstanding obligations. As of October 2026, the Ministry of Finance is headed by <strong>Rodrigo Chaves Robles<\/strong>; <strong>Miguel \u00c1ngel Sol\u00eds S\u00e1nchez<\/strong> leads Taxation, <strong>Adri\u00e1n P\u00e9rez Edwards<\/strong> heads Customs and <strong>Katherine Tenorio Ruiz<\/strong> directs the Fiscal Control Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"589\" height=\"389\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/www.mundovideo.com.co\/85c2632d-ec16-4a0d-9874-6e16b2d7d85e\"> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Katherine Tenorio Ruiz<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Costa Rica applies a <strong>13% VAT<\/strong> framework to casino activity.
