A Joined industry-wide effort to identify and blacklist cheaters in poker, will be led by the brand-new created Poker Integrity Council (PIC).
The PIC will conduct fair reviews across the poker industry, investigating all allegations of cheating while enforcing sanctions for the most egregious rule-breakers. Composed of community members, PIC will act as an independent body investigating suspicious gameplay, specially at GGPoker tables.
The council will be guided by a three-point process:
Detection: suspicious behavior such as collusion, botting, use of real-time assistance or ghosting is flagged for review
Ruling: the council members will vote on whether or not disciplinary action is required
Review: the relevant hand histories (with the player detail anonymised) will be reviewed by Jason Koon, GGPoker Integrity Ambassador, and the Poker Integrity Council members.
Disciplinary action will be determined by the severity of an offence and will range from conduct warnings to a permanent ban combined with the confiscation of funds.
Industry-wide backlisting will be reserved for grave misconduct and repeat offenders. To ensure blacklisting is truly thorough, Council has allied with the biggest live poker tours and venues.
These include the World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour, Triton Poker, Poker After Dark, Kings Casino and Asian Poker Tour.
