Lopesan Hotel Group has taken one of the biggest steps in its Caribbean expansion with the official opening of three new casino resorts in Playa Bávaro, Punta Cana, on 7 July 2026, strengthening the gaming and tourism offering in the Dominican Republic. This development adds more than 1,000 hotel rooms, increases the group's presence to four integrated resorts in the destination and represents an investment of more than US$350 million.

The new properties are Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort, Spa & Casino, Lopesan Serenity Bay Resort, Spa & Casino, and Lopesan Splash Cove Resort, Spa & Casino, joining the existing Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino. The four resorts are connected through The Boulevard, a shared entertainment, shopping and dining district, while each property maintains a distinct concept tailored to different visitor segments.

The flagship development, Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort, Spa & Casino, features 554 guestrooms, a 127-meter artificial lagoon inspired by cenotes, around 10 waterfalls, a casino, spa, international restaurants and the new Lopesan Convention Center, capable of hosting more than 2,000 attendees, targeting the Caribbean's growing meetings and events market.

The Lopesan Serenity Bay Resort, Spa & Casino offers 239 guestrooms in an adults-only concept, featuring exclusive wellness areas, premium dining, swimming pools and an integrated casino. Meanwhile, the Lopesan Splash Cove Resort, Spa & Casino includes 242 guestrooms and is designed for families, offering a water park, wave pool, children's entertainment facilities, sports activities and a casino.

The integrated development was designed by HKS Architects and ROAM, while Lopesan Hotel Group, headquartered in Gran Canaria, Spain, and owned by the López family, continues to position Punta Cana as the company's primary international growth platform.
The casinos will operate under the supervision of the Directorate of Casinos and Games of Chance, part of the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Finance, the authority responsible for licensing and regulating casino gaming nationwide.

With this expansion, Lopesan further strengthens the Dominican Republic's position as one of the Caribbean's leading casino resort destinations, combining gaming, hospitality, conventions, gastronomy and entertainment within a single integrated tourism complex that expands the country's capacity and enhances Punta Cana's competitiveness across the regional gaming market.
