Singapore received 1.63 million international visitors in July 2026, according to figures released on August 24, marking an improvement from May and June but still not enough to fully recover the pace recorded in 2025. From January through July, the country accumulated 9.8 million arrivals, down 1.9% year on year.

China remains the largest source market, with 1.9 million visitors between January and July, up 4%. Indonesia contributed 1.3 million visitors, while Malaysia generated 732,000, an increase of 1%. The rebound comes as Singapore’s two major integrated resorts (Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa) remain central to the country’s tourism strategy by combining casino gaming, hotels, entertainment, retail and convention facilities.

Marina Bay Sands, operated by Las Vegas Sands under the corporate leadership of Patrick Dumont, generated US$1.38 billion in net revenue in Q2 2026, including US$1.024 billion from casino operations. Adjusted EBITDA reached US$689 million, while hotel occupancy stood at 95.6%. The property is also advancing an expansion valued at approximately US$8 billion, including an all-suite hotel and a 15,000-seat arena.

At Resorts World Sentosa, controlled by Genting Singapore, gaming revenue reached S$804.4 million in the first half of 2026, while non-gaming revenue totaled S$398.8 million.

Gaming regulation falls under the Gambling Regulatory Authority, chaired by Hoong Wee Teck and led operationally by Chief Executive Daniel Tan. Singapore also activated a S$740 million Tourism Development Fund in 2026, while MBS and RWS together account for around S$10 billion in expansion plans.
