The 2025 edition of the Canadian Gaming Summit begins today, June 17, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, bringing together key figures from Canada’s gaming, sports betting, and technology sectors.
Now in its 28th year, the event is expected to attract more than 3,000 delegates, including operators, regulators, affiliates, and suppliers. With over 150 speakers scheduled, the summit will address pressing topics such as regulatory developments, cybersecurity, and responsible gambling.
One of the central themes this year is the evolving regulatory framework in provinces like Ontario and Alberta. Alberta’s anticipated entry into regulated iGaming markets will be a point of discussion, alongside reflections on Ontario’s open market one year after its implementation.

The agenda also includes a dedicated cybersecurity symposium, responding to increasing concerns about data protection and system vulnerability in digital gaming environments. In parallel, the Player Protection Symposium will explore how AI and behavioral data are being used to improve responsible gambling programs.
Additionally, panels on payments innovation, affiliate marketing compliance, sports betting trends, and omni-channel platform strategies will reflect the industry’s broader shift toward digital-first operations.
High-profile speakers include provincial lottery executives, legal experts, and senior government officials, including Alberta’s Minister for Service Alberta and representatives from Ontario’s Attorney General’s Office. The summit runs until June 19 and is considered one of the most influential gaming industry gatherings in North America.
