Some five months after opening its $2.6 billion Encore Boston Harbor, American casino operator Wynn Resorts Limited has now reportedly decided to do away with the Massachusetts facility’s steep $50 gaming table minimums alongside all of its self-service parking fees.
The move from Wynn Resorts Limited means that its sole Massachusetts casino now features only $15 gambling table minimums while patrons are not required to pay a fee in order to park their own vehicles in any of its 2,900 spaces.
“The last thing we want to do is be a Vegas casino in Boston. We want to be greater Boston’s hometown casino and we want everyone to come and feel welcome and like they can have a great time there, whether they are playing or not playing.” Said Brian Gullbrants, President for Encore Boston Harbor.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that charges of up to $7 to utilize some of Encore Boston Harbor’s shuttle buses and water taxis are to remain in place while it cited a story from MassLive.com in detailing that the venue is soon planning to unveil a tiered card system to offer a range of rewards to players.
