Iowa’s 19 commercial casinos posted US$135,984,983 in adjusted gross revenue (AGR) for January 2026, up about 2.4% from January 2025 (US$132,770,454), according to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC) monthly revenue report.

For operators, the revenue mix tells the story. Slot machines generated US$122,447,385 while table games produced US$13,537,598, reinforcing that incremental growth continues to be driven primarily by slot volume and hold performance.

At the property level, Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino led Iowa with US$19,615,556 in January AGR. It was followed by Ameristar II (US$13,420,772), Horseshoe Casino Council Bluffs (US$12,777,067), and Riverside Casino & Golf Resort (US$10,188,878).

Iowa casinos post $141.3 million in revenue for October, up 6.2% y/y

The month also showed a “quality of demand” signal: statewide admissions were 1,301,574, while win per capita rose to US$104 (vs. US$101 in January 2025). In practical terms, that points to slightly stronger monetization per visit even as total foot traffic remained broadly stable year over year.
From a fiscal perspective, Iowa reported US$25,462,630 in state gaming tax for the month—an important reminder that Midwestern commercial casino performance remains a consistent contributor to public revenues while giving operators a clear baseline for budgeting, capex pacing, and reinvestment decisions going into Q1.
