The operation of Judiciary Police and the Public Security Police which started last Thursday, was mainly focused to jail people at several casino-hotel resorts in Cotai between Friday and Sunday for illegally engaging in currency-exchange activities and various other illegal activities.
The operation took place in the wake of a fight involving about 10 men outside the Venetian captured on video which was widely circulated online that occurred on Wednesday night last week.
However, the operation ended holding more than a hundred people by the macau police in the four-day “anti-crime” operation.
More than 110 illegal casino money changers were held and identified as being from mainlander China.
