Despite the downturn in China due to the COVID-19, operators are slowly coming back after the pandemic shutdowns. While lotteries suffered the biggest losses during the 105-day lockdown, with February bringing in only RMB1m, March was the more successful month for Q1.
China’s Ministry of Finance announced March earned RMB10.5b ($1.5b), a 70% drop from the same month the previous year.
Beijing is the last region to resume lottery operations, and while sales are slow after a protracted lockdown, operators remain hopeful
