Japan government thinking twice about gambling industry

Published date: 2018-10-16
Japan government has begun to make stronger steps in favor of the gambling industry

Japan government has begun to make stronger steps in favor of the gambling industry, time before the government just passed the law that allowed the construction of casino resorts. However, it was fully regulated.

As the time has passed the government haven’t started yet their project of building the first casino in the country but have given the opportunity to think more deeply about it, leading to what is happening now.

The prefectural government for Tokyo has hired professional services firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC to carry out an impact study on the possibility of bringing an integrated casino resort to the nation’s largest city.

With the bill is expected to result in the construction of a trio of Las Vegas-style integrated casino resorts complete with hotels, shops and conference facilities by as early as 2025. Tokyo is now seen as a frontrunner alongside the cities of Yokohama and Osaka for one of the three integrated casino resort licenses.

The trio of gambling facilities is expected to bring in $11 billion to $20 billion in annual gambling revenues.
