Japanese government is looking forward to implanting a fee when access to a casino, it would be mostly like a 24-hour access for Japanese nationals and foreign residents. The IR (integrated resorts) bill is the one that according to the government will include this amendment.
Within other aspects discussed this Wednesday, the second reunion of the LDP group responsible for pushing the casino legislation forward, the mentioned item took place on the table the daily entry levy with a cost of JPY2,000 ($18,6 USD) per person. Some of the aspect which also were part of the discussion were issues related to taxation and the future casino regulatory body. The government also plans to forbid the country’s casino resorts from reimbursing the levy fees to players, the money collected will be divided between the central government and the local government of the region that eventually hosts a casino resort.
Part of the funds will be used to finance measures for preventing gambling addiction.
