Macau’s gaming industry is making waves with the release of its latest Official Gazette, confirming that 26 gaming machine manufacturers and distributors have been approved for 2025, adding one more supplier than last year. This signals growing competition in the world’s largest gambling hub, with new opportunities for innovation and expansion.

Industry leaders Aristocrat, Light & Wonder, IGT, Konami, and Sega Sammy Creation remain key players in the market, while RGB Ltd and Asia Pioneer Entertainment continue as leading distributors. Empire Technological Group and ACP, which joined the approved list in 2024, have secured their licenses once again.
However, FBM and SYNOT Group from the Czech Republic are missing from this year’s approvals, reflecting the strict regulatory oversight maintained by Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).

The licensing process ensures that all approved companies comply with Macau’s regulatory framework, allowing them to supply gaming machines to the city’s six gaming concessionaires. These permits, valid until March 31, 2026, also enable licensed companies to showcase non-commercial gaming machines for training and exhibition purposes. The addition of a new supplier to the list highlights the evolving landscape of Macau’s gaming industry, where competition remains fierce, and technological advancements continue to drive market shifts.
As one of the most tightly regulated gambling jurisdictions in the world, Macau maintains high compliance standards for manufacturers and distributors. The presence of a new competitor suggests potential advancements in gaming technology and a fresh approach to the market. With increasing pressure on innovation and market positioning, this expansion could lead to significant shifts in casino gaming trends over the coming year.
