Paradise Lounge at Gimpo airport enhances VIP experience amid rising passenger traffic regarding the Chinese New Year of the Snake

Published date: 2025-01-31

In November 2024, Paradise Group unveiled the "Paradise Lounge" at Seoul's Gimpo International Airport, aiming to provide integrated services for its four casinos located in Incheon, Seoul, Busan, and Jeju. Spanning approximately 240 square meters, the lounge offers a private space for VIP customers and features eco-friendly hydrogen shuttle buses that transport guests between the airport and Paradise City free of charge.

The launch of this lounge coincides with a significant uptick in air travel in South Korea. In 2024, the nation's air passenger traffic surged by 19.5% compared to the previous year, totaling over 120 million passengers. This figure represents 97.3% of the record 123.36 million passengers recorded in 2019, indicating a robust recovery in the aviation sector.

South Korea needs a policy “white paper” on the role and future of its own casino industry.

Gimpo International Airport has played a pivotal role in this resurgence. In November 2024, the airport handled approximately 1.9 million passengers, marking a 2.9% decrease year-on-year.

Despite this slight decline, the overall trend for the year has been positive, contributing significantly to the national increase in air travel.

The establishment of the Paradise Lounge is strategically aligned with these developments. By enhancing the travel experience for VIP guests, Paradise Group aims to attract new customers and strengthen its marketing efforts across all its casino properties. The lounge not only caters to casino visitors but also offers services to individual travelers staying with Paradise City package products, thereby broadening its appeal.

Choi Jong-hwan, CEO of Paradise Group, expressed optimism about the lounge's potential, stating, "We expect this lounge to show the essence of VIP marketing and high-end services, which are the greatest strengths of Paradise Casino." He also indicated plans to further bolster the company's casino alliance strategy to provide customers with new hospitality experiences and lead the market on this new Year.

As South Korea's aviation sector continues its recovery, the Paradise Lounge at Gimpo International Airport stands as a testament to the company's commitment to enhancing customer experience and capitalizing on the resurgence of international travel.
