In a major step forward for global lottery expansion, Scientific Games has officially secured a vendor license from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) of the United Arab Emirates, allowing the U.S.-based giant to supply lottery products and services across the Gulf nation.
This license comes at a pivotal moment as the UAE positions itself as a future hub for regulated gaming in the Middle East. The GCGRA, established in 2023, oversees all commercial gaming activities in the country, including lotteries, sports betting, iGaming, and potential land-based operations.

Scientific Games now joins a shortlist of elite gaming companies granted approval by the GCGRA, including IGT Global Services, Novomatic, and Aristocrat Technologies Europe.
The UAE’s first regulated lottery was launched in late 2024, and officials have indicated a long-term vision that balances innovation, integrity, and economic diversification. With this latest license, Scientific Games has not only entered a new market—but possibly struck gold in one of the most promising gaming frontiers on the planet.
