After getting stranded near a Miramar beach on July 13, the MV Lucky 7 property of Golden Globe Hotels could potentially leave the Indian state this week.
Only a week after receiving permission from the Superior Tribunal of Bombay to operate in Mandovi river, Golden Globe decided to act on, becoming the sixth casino offshore of the state.
An expert affirmed, that the crew inside the ship assumed an elevated risk because they knew that navigating the Aguada area was dangerous.
After getting stucked, the Indian Coast Guard got distress calls of members of the MV Lucky 7, who later got rescued on a helicopter. From that point on, the ship has been anchored to Miramar’s beach were it has been subdued to reparations in order to get it safe to Jaigad.
It is expected that the vessel will be transferred by the salvage firm VMS Marine LLC on Friday or Saturday depending on weather conditions. After that, it will be put down under mayor reparations that could take up until three months. Yet, the ship which will be renamed as Bid Daddy, will only operate until 2020 due to the fact that Goa´s Chief Minister has declared that floating casinos have to move ashore. (READ HERE: ¡SCANDAL!
