The newly inaugurated Yumeshima Station, on Osaka Metro’s Chūō Line, marks a significant milestone in the city’s urban and tourism development. This transportation hub directly connects central Osaka with the artificial island of Yumeshima, the site of the under-construction MGM Osaka—Japan’s first integrated resort featuring a casino.
Valued at JPY 1.27 trillion (approximately USD 8.14 billion), this ambitious project is set to open by the end of 2030.
MGM Osaka, envisioned as a world-class destination, will combine entertainment, hospitality, and gaming in one state-of-the-art complex. It is expected to be an economic powerhouse, attracting international tourists and cementing Osaka’s position as a hub for innovation and growth. Yumeshima Station will play a pivotal role by ensuring seamless access to the resort, offering fast and efficient connections to other parts of the city and the wider region.
The station’s design, aligning with the modernity of the casino project, not only focuses on functionality but also reflects the futuristic vision of the complex.
