Yesterday, the Bogotá mayor's office published Decree 207 of September 21, 2020, the purpose of which is to define the necessary measures to give continuity to the economic and social reactivation of the city of Bogotá D.C.
According to the secretary of economic development of Bogotá Luis Ernesto Gómez, the behaviour of the rate of contagion of the COVID-19 virus has been favourable during the last period of time, thus lowering the occupation of ICUs. In addition, in this decree as biosafety measures, the mayor's office requires the operator to reopen that must guarantee the physical distance of not less than two (2) meters between person and person, the mandatory use of face masks, prohibit personnel from joining the their jobs when the worker is diagnosed with COVID-19 or any of the symptoms compatible with COVID-19, no matter if they already have or not the result of the test, neither if the employee in a period of home isolation due to having had contact with someone with symptoms or diagnosed with COVID-19. All workers must have at least a mask, access to hand washing with soap and water at least every three hours and a minimum 60% and maximum 95% alcohol gel for their hand’s sanitization.
Operators also have to report daily through the platform www.bogota.gov.co/reactivacion-economica if any of the workers present symptoms related to COVID-19 such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, feeling of lack of air, earache, fatigue, loss of smell or taste or others.
In the event that one of the workers presents any of these symptoms, the operator cannot allow the employee to carry out his / her work and must remain at home for a period of no less than ten (10) days. And in the same way in which the daily symptom report is made, must report the case immediately to the Health Benefit Plan Company (EAPB) to which your worker is affiliated.
