CIBELAE has expanded the speaker lineup for its Illegal Gambling and Security seminar, scheduled for March 24–26, 2026 in San José, Costa Rica, as the organization pushes to give the event a more technical and strategic profile ahead of the registration deadline. The seminar is being organized with the World Lottery Association (WLA) and Costa Rica’s Junta de Protección Social (JPS).
Among the newly confirmed additions is BMM Testlabs, which will present a session titled “AI, fraud and illegal gambling: the new risk board.” According to SBC Noticias, the presentation will examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping threats for state lotteries, with Susana Campaña, Vice President of Digital Sales, and Ferrán Mateu, Security Analyst, leading the session. Costa Rica’s Ministry of Science, Innovation, Technology and Telecommunications (MICITT) will also take part through Esteban Aguilar Vargas, Deputy National Security Director, in a panel on personal data protection and cybersecurity in lotteries.
The broader seminar agenda is centered on illegal gambling, anti-fraud regulation, AML, data protection, online player identification and cross-border cooperation. The official event page also lists confirmed speakers including Javier Milián, Andreas Kötter, Mariela Vargas, Luca Esposito, Robert Chvátal, and executives from Brightstar Lottery, Scientific Games, GLI and CAIXA Loterias. Registration remains open until March 19, 2026.
