Currently there are 16 operators authorized by Coljuegos, until August 2022, there was a report of 7,004,174 user accounts. In a recent statement dated December 2022, the report increased to 8,059,313 active accounts, taking into account that a player can register for one or more accounts on different platforms.
In figures from Coljuegos, games operated over the Internet have had positive growth in recent years.
In fact, in the year 2020 they closed with bets close to 8 trillion pesos and for the year 2021 at 16 trillion pesos; in 2022 bets for 26 billion pesos are reported, with a growth of 67%. "Games operated by the Internet have generated resources for exploitation rights of more than 255,376 million pesos in the last year, money whose main purpose is to finance the health of Colombians," explains Coljuegos.
