Coljuegos published its accountability report, which covers the period between November 2021 and June of this year.
According to the report, the total collection of gaming exploitation rights registered a 14 percent growth in the first semester of the year, with respect to the same period of the previous year. The amount amounted to $384,000 million pesos (USD89.3m), which translates into seven percentage points above the goal set by the entity.
According to the breakdown of the document, localized games contributed $151,000 million (USD35.1m) Colombian pesos, which translates into 42 percent of the collection.
But in addition, the casino sector grew 40% with respect to last year, figures that show the strength and weight that casinos have for the sector and the health of Colombians.
While the games operated by Internet collected $113 million pesos (USD26.272), contributing 32 percent of the total collection achieved by Coljuegos.
On the other hand, for the first semester of the year 2022, the Baloto - Revancha presented a decrease in the collection of 22 percent and 25 percent, respectively, compared to the year 2021.
For this year, Baloto and Revancha report sales this year of $93,000 million pesos (USD21.6m), while Super Astro records $302,000 million pesos (USD70.2m).
In general terms, this year as of June, bets amount to $30 billion pesos (USD6.974m), 56 percent more than last year.
Thus, during 2022, departmental and municipal funds have been transferred $69 thousand million pesos (USD16m), an increase of 104% compared to the same period in 2021.
