Yesterday, we were accompanying Cornazar in the reopening of several casinos in the city of Medellín. Where we had the opportunity not only to see the step-by-step compliance with the biosecurity protocols that we help to structure, but also to be able to provide the opportunity for these establishments to have the appropriate clothing for the protection of players and collaborators.
In addition, we interviewed Elizabeth Maya Cano (EMC), president of Cornazar about what was experienced in the great moment of reopening of the casinos in Medellin, and this is what she told us:
MV: How does it feel today to reopen after 5 months of closure?
EMC: Well, the feeling today is satisfaction, joy. We leave behind all this suffering and anguish that the entrepreneurs of gambling industry lived through, the guild as such casinos and bingo halls. Waking up again and being able to reopen these establishments is a great satisfaction.
To be able to collaborate with everyone in an articulated way, to work the national government, with all the local mayors, secretaries of economic development. So that this moment was well structured, and we would comply with all the biosafety protocols required by the standards. A longed-for and happy moment, I think that this is the transformation of the reality that we lived 4 days ago and today we already have an opportunity.

MV: Elizabeth, as you very well say, in this opportunity to be able to collaborate in an articulated manner, what were the companies that were always there to support the sector despite so much closure?
EMC: As a union we have been working with the 60 companies of Cornazar, these companies have always been supporting the union and the union to them, accompanying us in all processes, in the economic support of Cornazar in addition to that, working jointly to be able to do things well.
So here, the first mention is to congratulate all these large, medium and small businessmen who belong to Cornazar, because we could definitely differentiate that united we could get out of all this, united we will be able to reopen with all the security measures that the government requires of us national.

MV: Under this same panorama and the current reality that we live in, where there are many operators that do not have enough financial solvency to incur these necessary expenses for the protocols, what is your perception about the proposal that Mundo Video makes to the sector ?
EMC: Mr. Germán, you have sent me a letter to all entrepreneurs, where you give them the opportunity to have products that are essential to reopen their rooms. I already shared it with all the entrepreneurs, and I showed them the opportunity that I had to acquire these products with an ease of payment. And it seems to me that people should have opportunities, these entrepreneurs need it because sometimes the resource does not exist.

MV: To finish, what is the message you want to leave to businessmen, especially with these opportunities that companies like Mundo Video are giving, to support the national reopening with all biosafety protocols and always protecting the player.
EMC: First, I want to tell entrepreneurs to be ready. That when they go to reopen, they have their active contract with Coljuegos. Second, that they have all their protocols and lines of action implemented, depending on how they do the reopening, it will be all the traceability of complying and serving their customers very well.
I have always used this thought, you have to do things right, you have to do things legal, you have to do things with transparency and I think that this is the time to show the government that the industry of gambling is doing well, both at the government level and at the player level. The player who enters a room feels that they are taking care of him, that they are protecting him, that they are providing that entertainment and fun, but in addition to that, he has the peace of mind that he is in an establishment that takes care of the person, the collaborator and the community as such.
