The gambling operators which last year contributed $ 1.7 billion Colombian pesos to public finances, were also hit by the coronavirus.
"The State want to guarantee its sustainability, not only because they contribute to financing the health of Colombians but also because they are generators of more than 100,000 jobs, they boost the economies of the territories and constitute a true chain of economic and social value associated with the industry".
"From Coljuegos we started a series of actions that will allow injecting resources for more than $ 50,000 million into the departments and municipalities to address the crisis generated by Covid-19 and give relief to the gambling industry" said the president of Coljuegos, Juan B. Pérez Hidalgo
The Decree 576 of April 15, 2020 includes reliefs for companies that have seen their operations diminished, including traditional lotteries that will be allowed to redirect resources to ensure their survival.
