The Internal Revenue Service (SRI) already has the registry of sports betting operators in Ecuador. According to the director of the entity, Damián Larco, there are currently 65 taxpayers who are already registered, two are foreign companies and 63 are domiciled in Ecuador, however, the universe is larger.
As of July 1, Ecuador implemented the single income tax for sports betting operators. It taxes the income of operators who are both residents and non-residents in Ecuador at a rate of 15 percent.

This tax arose with the Organic Law Decree for the Strengthening of the Family Economy, the latest tax reform applied by the government of Guillermo Lasso.
According to Damián Larco, the IP address of companies that have not registered in the registry will be suspended or blocked.
