The Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires (LOTBA) continues its pioneering role in promoting responsible gaming by launching new educational workshops for minors aged 12 to 17. This initiative is part of LOTBA's comprehensive Responsible Gaming Program, aimed at raising awareness about the risks of early exposure to gambling.

The workshops, conducted in collaboration with psychologists, educators, and prevention specialists, offer interactive sessions in schools and community centers across Buenos Aires. These programs include topics such as digital gambling, advertising influence, betting mechanics, and psychological impacts—presented in accessible language tailored for youth.

LOTBA’s president, Martín García Santillán, emphasized: “It’s our duty to educate future generations about the risks of gambling. Prevention must start early, and these workshops are critical.”

This initiative complements LOTBA's broader regulatory agenda, which includes digital controls, age-verification systems, and operator compliance inspections. The regulator has also partnered with international bodies such as the World Lottery Association (WLA) to share best practices in youth protection.
According to LOTBA’s latest public report, the workshops have reached over 1,200 students in 2024, with plans to scale the program throughout 2025.
