Within the national development plan there were more than 50 hours of debate in the Senate to prepare what will be the plan of action of the President Ivan Duque's cabinet during its four-year term.
Although there was no major conflict in the Senate's approval of the document, in the House of Representatives it was approved with a confrontation between the Vice Minister of Finance, Juan Alberto Londoño, and Congressman Carlos Cuenca, due to a misunderstanding about responsibility of the management of rural housing disputed by the Ministries of Agriculture and Housing.
However, the Minister of Finance, Alberto Carrasquilla, once the document was fully approved in the House of Representatives, highlighted the speakers and coordinators of the initiative for their good work, and the final text achieved.
"I believe that a text has come out for the end, immensely better than what came in thanks to your contribution. My sincere thanks and those of the entire Government. I am very proud to have been a small part of this discussion that has taken place here. "
