Paraná’s state lottery, Lottopar, recently hosted a high-profile international seminar on gaming and lotteries in Foz do Iguaçu, reinforcing the region’s growing influence in Latin America’s regulated gaming ecosystem. The event—held between June 24 and 26—was organized in partnership with CIBELAE and supported by the World Lottery Association (WLA).

Dignitaries and experts from 16 countries and nine Brazilian states attended, sharing best practices on innovation, consumer protection, and sustainability. Under the banner “Safe, Responsible and Sustainable Gaming in Lotteries,” panels covered topics ranging from illegal gambling to ESG-conscious advertising and anti-money laundering protocols.

Daniel Romanowski, CEO of Lottopar, emphasized Paraná’s leadership, highlighting the state’s commitment to transparent regulation and regional integration. He noted that hosting the seminar at the tri-border area symbolized Paraná’s ambition to lead “with courage, regulatory intelligence and social responsibility.”
Lottopar also celebrated new certifications at the seminar: Level II Responsible Gaming from the WLA and Level I AML approval from CIBELAE—making it the first Brazilian lottery to earn this dual recognition.
