In the operation, which consisted of four parallel raids, the alleged managers of the clandestine casino, which operated under the guise of a family home, were arrested. In addition to a roulette wheel and gambling tables, three safes, weapons and vehicles, among other items, were seized.
After prior intelligence work, police investigators discovered several points where clandestine bets were taking place. Therefore, simultaneous raids were carried out yesterday in three houses located on Tulo Llamosas Avenue and another on Lavalle.
In this mega operation by the provincial security force, two men aged 31 and 38 were arrested who were allegedly running the place. During the undercover operations constantly carried out by the UR-X Investigations Division, precise data was obtained indicating that illegal gambling was taking place at the addresses, where large sums of money, vehicles and other valuables were bet.
By order of the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Posadas, the raids were carried out at around 7 a.m. yesterday, a procedure that ended around 7 p.m.
