Following four successful years in Houndsditch Aldgate, Dabbers Social Bingo is to open a second site in Hackney, with a host of regular events including a discounted evening run at cost for those facing cost-of-living challenges.
Promising “hilarious comedians, dancers and sassy drag artists,” the new 85-seater hall is located on the top floor of the Hackney Picture House on Mare Street, and will open its doors on 18 November.
“Dabbers was started not only to repurpose and modernise the beloved game of bingo but also create an inclusive, sociable, accessible and entertaining community hub, I can’t wait to put bingo back on the Hackney map, as the borough’s only venue dedicated to the game. Pop by and enjoy a diverse range of games with old friends or new in which everyone and their dog (literally) can enjoy!” said creative director and founder Johnny Unknown.
