Denmark has an incredible unknown market that is one of the most profitable around Europe and make no-noise about that. It has the third highest number of users of internet-based casino games in Europe per capita, the numbers playing the games have soared by 106 percent over the last four years.
This year, the market is expected to yield net earnings of 1.180.335,00 USD, great news for the 40 companies that have acquired licenses to operate in Denmark following the 2012 liberalization of its gambling laws.
However, the government has a big concern about young generation, which is the most susceptible one to this situation. Around 125,000 Danes have a problem (normally defined as occasionally losing money you cannot afford to lose) of which an estimated 10,000 are addicts.
