The internationally recognized Regulating the Game (RTG) conference has announced the creation of the RTG Global Awards, a new initiative designed to honor individuals and organizations shaping the future of the gambling sector through leadership, innovation, and integrity.
The awards will be presented during the Regulating the Game 2026 conference, set to take place on March 10, 2026, in Sydney. The program aims to spotlight achievements in regulatory excellence, responsible gambling, technological advancement, and community impact.

Paul Newson, Principal at Vanguard Overwatch and founder of Regulating the Game, described the awards as a critical step in promoting industry reform and progress.

“The RTG Global Awards provide a platform to recognize and celebrate bold leadership, regulatory outcomes, and efforts that reduce harm and enhance public trust,” said Newson.
The awards will include six categories:
- Leadership Voice
- Safer Gambling Champion
- Compliance Excellence
- RegTech Solution of the Year
- Sustainable Gambling Innovation
- Community Impact Initiative
Nominations will open on July 1, 2025, and close on December 12, 2025. Finalists will be announced on February 2, 2026, ahead of the awards ceremony. The RTG Global Awards are poised to become a benchmark for ethical progress and innovation in a sector under increasing regulatory scrutiny.
