Spain’s gaming landscape is heavily marked by the presence of slot machines in bars and local establishments, and new figures confirm a clear leader: Catalunya. According to the latest data, Catalunya has 33,611 machines installed, making it the region with the highest concentration of slot machines in the country.
Following closely is Andalucía, with 30,988 units, and Comunidad Valenciana, which registers 24,085 machines. Madrid also shows a strong presence with 16,793 slots, while Castilla y León and the Basque Country maintain significant figures of 11,139 and 10,393 machines, respectively.

Other regions display moderate but relevant numbers: Galicia (8,498), Castilla-La Mancha (7,458), and Canarias (6,358). Meanwhile, Aragón holds 6,231 slots, followed by Murcia (5,749) and Asturias (5,544). In the lower range, Extremadura reports 4,606 machines, Cantabria 2,813, and Navarra 1,785. La Rioja closes with 1,577 slots, while Melilla and Ceuta represent the smallest shares, with just 181 and 76 machines, respectively.

These numbers reflect not only the penetration of slot machines across Spain’s regions but also the concentration in major urban and economic hubs. Catalunya and Andalucía together account for over 64,000 machines, nearly half of the national total, confirming their dominance in Spain’s slot machine market.
As the demand for on-site gaming remains resilient, these figures highlight how physical slots in bars and local venues continue to shape Spain’s gambling culture despite the growing push towards online play.
