Loterías y Apuestas del Estado (Spain’s National Lottery) and the Spanish Red Cross have announced a special charity lottery draw dedicated to supporting victims of the devastating DANA (Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos) floods.
The “Sorteo Extraordinario de la Cruz Roja” will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2025, and aims to raise funds to assist those affected by recent severe weather events across Spain. The announcement was made during a public event at the Red Cross headquarters in Madrid, attended by Jesús Huerta, President of SELAE, and Leopoldo Pérez Suárez, Secretary General of the Spanish Red Cross.

The draw will feature a total prize pool of €105 million, including a top prize of €1.5 million per series. Loterías has pledged that a portion of ticket sales will directly support humanitarian aid, emergency shelter, and basic needs for displaced families.

Both institutions highlighted the power of collaboration in responding to natural disasters and stressed the importance of solidarity through responsible gaming.
This initiative strengthens the long-standing partnership between SELAE and the Red Cross, using lottery proceeds as a tool for social support in times of crisis.
