The world economy has been overwhelmed by a series of events that have affected it directly and indirectly. For some years not only the countries of Latin America, but also the great powers have been affected. This not only affects the economy of Ecuadorian families, but also directly affects the economy of the government, and it has to seek the necessary tools to find alternatives, as has been seen with the debt owed to Chinese banks.
The search for new sources of income that can give back to the nation has led to some Spanish-speaking countries such as Mexico and Peru, which have decided for some years to take risks and bet on new practices to sustain the economy, among them stand out the control and legislation of online casinos.
But how favorable or counterproductive can this decision be? According to the official publications of the Government of Peru, it estimates a movement of at least $1 billion after the regulation of online casinos.
But what about Ecuador? Well, in Ecuador casinos of all kinds are prohibited, this thanks to a law that was established a few years ago and according to the leaders was supported by more than half of the inhabitants, article 236 of the Organic Comprehensive Criminal Code that stipulates the prohibition of these sites and the penalties that can be imposed.
One of the reasons why this law was imposed, according to the president at the time, was, among others, to prevent economic problems in Ecuadorian families. However, it is important to emphasize that this legislation came to light in 2014 and to date many things have already changed.
Although it is true that casinos of all kinds are prohibited throughout Ecuador, that does not mean that Ecuadorians cannot use the services offered by external providers and with no relation to the country.
Being real, Ecuadorian players are not going to stop playing just because there is a ban, the truth is that the country is letting the dollars go elsewhere, being able to create taxes on something that does not exist and that does not need a complicated infrastructure.
It is important to remember that despite the fact that the country does not care about the rights and interests of Ecuadorian players in this sense, there are other international organizations and those of some countries that watch over them, but of international players and everyone is welcome there. without exception, and Ecuador is lagging behind.
